About Jurang
Jurang Fairtrade is a business 100% dedicated to Fairtrade. We are based in greater Manchester and our offices are conveniently located in Mossley. We supply businesses, organisations, schools, churches and personal customers all over the UK. Additionally some of our staff are active at a grass roots level by hosting weekly Fairtrade stalls.
Jurang is the Indonesian word for 'hope'. As a business we are passionate about Fairtrade and believe that it offers those who are often subject to unfair trade a bit of jurang; hope!
At Jurang we don't just do and promote ethical business, we also do informed business. In a world which is largely dominated by greed, even great initiatives and principles such as Fairtrade can easily be twisted and exploited.
Consequently there has been some sort of a revolution within Fairtrade to reclaim its original ethos of great quality products and most of all fair and great quality trade relationships.
