Based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, the Oromo Coffee Company is the UK's first direct trading initiative between the indigenous Oromo community in Ethiopia and the Oromo community here in the UK. The story behind their amazing coffee is inspiring and Jurang Fairtrade is proud to be involved with this great company.
In July 2009, Jurang Fairtrade became the first outlet in the whole of the UK to start selling the Oromo Coffee and this exclusive and unique partnership to buy Oromo Coffee online is an important part of Jurang's roots.
