Mocha Coffee
Mocha Definition - A coffee beverage flavored with milk, sugar, and cocoa.
A mocha coffee is a coffee drink which uses steamed milk and a chocolate flavoured powder; usually cocoa powder. If white chocolate powder is used you can create a white mocha.
Mocha Coffee is now a popular drink and is widely available in coffee shops, cafes and restaurants in addition to cappuccinos, espresso and lattes.
When making a Mocha coffee, other flavours can be added in addition to the cocoa powder:
- Orange
- Peppermint
- Raspberry
Usually a mocha coffee is topped with either whipped cream or milk foam. You can also use mocha coffee to create delicious mocha ice cream, mocha cheese cake or a mocha coffee cake.
Mocha Coffee Beans
Mocha beans are an old variety of coffee which is derived from Arabica coffee trees. Mocha beans are a lot sweeter and darker than 'normal' coffee beans with a more chocolatey taste.
