Traidcraft FairBreak Wafer Biscuits

This crisp and cruncy wafer biscuit drenched in deliciously smooth Belgian chocolate is the ultimate treat anytime of day. Many of us feel guilty for our snack time treats but when you consider the benefits that purchasing this product has for developing communities it certainly justifies that extra snack.

40,000 farmers in developing countries are involved with Kuapa Kokoo a co-op union which provides the the fairtrade market with at least 650 tonnes of cocoa every year. But the benefits stretch even further than this delicious biscuit as sale of this cocoa provides the financial resource for the establishment of safe drinking water, schools and toilets.

The sugar in these wafers is sourced from The Kasinthula Cane Growers' Association. In 2004, 33 farmers in Malawi were introduced to Traidcraft at a conference organised and run by Traidcrafts market access centre. As a result of this initiative The Kasinthula Cane Growers' Association was formed and now real lives are transformed as farmers receive a fair price for their premium service.
