This speciality coffee is washed from the freshest water that the farm uses from its wet mill that comes from purpose-built lagoons and then dried in poly-tunnels. To ensure sustainability, the all-natural organic waste from the pulped coffee is then recycled by earthworms that transform the waste into compost which can then be used on the farm as fertilizer. Ingenious!
For every bag of this coffee sold, 20p is donated to the school system in this coffee’s native Coban region of Guatemala. Grumpy Mule does this as they care about farming families, as fair trade is a number 1 priority - giving them the prices and respect that they deserve.
