Standard EK Version
Full-size machine with standard footprint. Regular group-head height — suited for traditional espresso cups. Ideal for dine-in coffee service and standard cafés.
Compact Version
Reduced width for smaller counter spaces. Same standard group-head height (not designed for tall cups). Best for cafés with limited space using regular cups.
Takeaway Version
Standard footprint but with raised group heads for tall cup clearance. Designed for takeaway service — fits large and tall cups easily. Great for busy coffee-to-go environments.
Compact Takeaway Version

Without a Service Contract, every engineer visit is chargeable at £225+VAT, plus any additional labour.

Every coffee has its own temperature sweet spot; most espresso machines are set at a standard extraction temperature prior to despatch from the factory and to change it at a later date you will likely have to pay an engineer to come out and change it for you.
The S8 and S9 share the same core technology, build quality, and performance, but differ mainly in controls and styling.
The S9 is essentially an evolution of the S8, offering updated ergonomics and aesthetics while maintaining the same internal reliability.
Both offer identical internal specs, boiler sizes, and group configurations — performance is virtually the same.
