Our Espresso Roast is a balanced blend of 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta, sourced through ethical Direct Trade from Brazil, Uganda, and Vietnam, delivering a consistently full-bodied cup with dark-chocolate notes, nutty depth, and a smooth finish.
Brazilian Arabica provides a naturally sweet, low-acidity base, while Ugandan coffees add structure and intensity, helping the blend retain its character through milk.
Vietnamese Robusta contributes strength, body and a thick, reliable crema, making this coffee particularly well-suited to espresso and milk-based drinks such as cappuccino, flat white and latte.
Freshly roasted for performance and consistency, it's a dependable, versatile coffee that works equally well in traditional espresso machines and bean-to-cup setups.

Our espresso roast is a full-bodied blend with clear dark chocolate and nutty notes, with seasonal variations that can bring out subtle hints of almond or pistachio.
By blending coffees from Brazil, Uganda and Vietnam, the cup benefits from Brazil’s smooth sweetness, Uganda’s structure and depth, and Vietnam’s strength and crema-building qualities, resulting in a balanced yet characterful espresso.
Arabica provides clarity and flavour complexity, while carefully selected Robusta adds body, intensity and a stable, velvety crema without overpowering the cup.
The result is an espresso with cocoa richness, gentle nuttiness and a restrained smokiness that holds its flavour whether enjoyed straight or with milk.
Expertly roasted to stay non-oily, these beans are designed for reliable extraction and consistent results, making them ideal for bean-to-cup machines as well as traditional espresso setups.

Direct Trade enables suppliers to cut out the middlemen by working directly with farmers. This means we can give more money back to the farmers whilst still offering great prices for our customers.
The charge to become Fairtrade certified for many producers is so high that this often results in unnecessarily increased costs for the coffee to roasters and ultimately consumers, as someone within the chain must swallow the fee. Direct Trade erases this fee, resulting in better prices for consumers, yet still offering the same premiums, if not more of the cut, straight back to the farmers.
For this reason, producers are increasingly moving beyond Fairtrade to establish Direct Trade relationships with origin farms. What’s more, it is widely accepted that Direct Trade results in better quality coffee due to the improved farmer interaction. The amount Fairtrade premiums pay to farmers often doesn’t change depending on the quality of the crop. We don’t consider this very fair, as we believe farmers should be rewarded for their hard work.
